光未然（1913—2002），原名张光年，湖北省光化县人（现湖北襄阳老河口市），现代著名诗人，文学评论家，著作颇丰。1939年在延安创作了组诗《黄河大合唱》，经人民音乐家冼星海谱曲后在延安首次上演，此后在各地广为传唱，受到抗日军民的热烈欢迎。这组诗雄健磅礴，深沉浑厚，是中华民族抵御外侮的英雄诗篇，也是抗日战争时期现实的悲壮图画。出版诗集有《五月花》，共收录了作者新中国建立前后的代表作 30余首，其中包括长诗《屈原》、组诗歌词《黄河大合唱》、《三门峡大合唱》等名篇。未入集的作品尚有政治抒情诗《革命人民的盛大节日》、《惊心动魄的一九七六年》以及长篇叙事诗《英雄钻井队》等。
