谷建芬（1935—），出生于日本大阪。当代著名女作曲家。1950年，谷建芬考进旅大文工团担任钢琴伴奏。1952年入东北音专（现沈阳音乐学院）主修作曲，师从霍存慧、寄明等。1955年毕业后，分配到中央歌舞团（现中国歌舞团），主要从事舞蹈音乐创作。代表作品：《滚滚长江东逝水》、《年轻的朋友来相会》、《歌声与微笑》、《妈妈的吻》、《绿叶对根的情意》、《思念》、《烛光里的妈妈》、《历史的天空》、《今天是你的生日，我的中国》等。谷建芬的创作对于中国大众音乐起到了一个承前启后的开拓作用，而她为中国流行乐坛培养出的一批批优秀歌手，为中国流行音乐的繁荣奠定了坚实的基础。上世纪80年代谷建芬创办了"谷建芬声乐培训中心"。日后在流行音乐界成为走红一时的歌星中，有很多人都出自她的门下：苏红、毛阿敏、万山红、那英、段品章、解晓东、孙楠、刘欢……

Gu Jianfen (1935 -), born in Osaka of japan. Famous contemporary composer. In 1950, Gu Jianfen got into LvDa ensemble piano. In 1952 the Northeast Music College (now Shenyang Conservatory of Music) majoring in music, under the tutelage of Huo Cunhui, send bright etc.. After graduating in 1955, assigned to the central song and Dance Troupe (now Chinese ensembles), mainly engaged in dance music creation. Representative works: "East billowing Yangtze River water", "young friend meets", "singing and smile", "mother's kiss", "green leaves on the root of the feeling", "Miss", "mother's Day", "history of the sky", "today is your birthday, my China" etc..
