雷振邦（1916-1997），满族。北京人。自幼喜爱京戏和民间小调，会拉二胡。曾在日本高等音乐学校作曲科学习，回国后当过中学教员。历任北京电影制片厂、长春电影制片厂作曲。雷振邦创作的故事影片音乐主要有：《董存瑞》、《马兰花开》、《芦笙恋歌》、《花好月圆》、《五朵金花》、《金玉姬》、《达吉和他的父亲》、《刘三姐》、《万木春》、《冰山上来客》、《景颇姑娘》、《战洪图》、《钢铁巨人》、《暗礁》、《吉鸿昌》、《小字辈》、《幽谷恋歌》、《明天回答你》、《精变》、《赤橙黄绿青蓝紫》、《东方大魔王》、《四世同堂》等。他的大部分作品都曾经风靡全国，广为传唱，成为人们喜爱的经典音乐作品，他不愧是中国影坛深受观众欢迎的著名电影作曲家。
