廖昌永（1968年10月25日—），出生在四川省成都市郫县一个普通的农民家庭。1988年9月考入上海音乐学院声乐系随罗魏先生学习，后师从于著名声乐教育家周小燕教授。他是目前活跃于世界歌剧舞台的极少数杰出的中国歌唱家之一。多年来，廖昌永不断荣获国际声乐大奖，1996至1997年间，廖昌永在一年内连续三次分别获得法国第41届图鲁兹国际声乐比赛、多明戈世界歌剧大赛、挪威宋雅王后国际声乐大赛的第一名，使世界乐坛为之震惊。其杰出才华受到世界三大男高音之一多明戈大师的格外器重。他的足迹已遍及世界各地，先后与十几个世界著名交响乐团及多明戈、卡雷拉斯、露丝安?斯文森等多位歌剧大师成功合作演出了十几部歌剧和音乐会。
