梅艳芳（1961—2003），生于香港。6岁时便开始登台公开演唱。1982年，梅艳芳获得在娱乐圈崭露头角的机会，在香港无线电视台举办的第一届歌唱新秀大赛上，她以一曲《风的季节》获得冠军，之后一发不可收拾，在1985年至1989年度《十大劲歌金曲颁奖典礼》连续五届夺得"最受欢迎女歌星"并于1989年度《叱吒乐坛流行榜颁奖典礼》夺得"叱吒乐坛女歌手金奖"。而于1985年推出专辑《坏女孩》销量达八白金(40万张)，奠定了梅艳芳在歌坛的地位。梅艳芳在大中华地区的演艺界（尤其是香港）拥有崇高的地位和广泛的影响力、她是香港三大天皇巨星（谭咏麟、张国荣、梅艳芳）之一。不但是乐坛巨星，亦被称为"乐坛大姐大"和"舞台女王"；因其形象百变，不但被称为"百变天后"和"东方麦当娜"，而且是大中华地区首位在同一个演唱会换多套歌衫、在不同专辑封面和音乐录像带有不同造型的歌手。
