周璇(1920—1957)，江苏常州人，中国最早的两栖明星。1931年参加上海明月歌舞社并逐渐崭露头角。之后，又与明星影片公司合作，拍摄了电影《马路天使》、《十字街头》等。作为一代歌后，她的名字是国语流行歌曲史上一个金字招牌，被誉为"金嗓子"。周璇是因着《马路天使》一举成名的。周璇演绎的那个乐观、俏皮的歌女小红和她所演唱的《天涯歌女》和《四季歌》成了几代人共同的回忆。周璇一生共出演了40多部影片，并主唱过电影主题曲和插曲100多首，其它主要作品还有《李三娘》、《董小宛》、《苏三艳史》、《长相思》、《歌女之歌》、《莫负青春》、《忆江南》、《夜店》等。作为影后，她是典型的感觉派明星，表演生动自然。1941年，周璇婉拒了"电影皇后"头衔。1941年，周璇及其主演的《马路天使》皆荣膺"中国电影世纪奖"。
