郭伟生，男，汉族，1956年1月出生。

1973年——1975年广东人民艺术学院毕业，1985——1988华南师范大学毕业，1991——1993年到英国留学深造圆号吹奏。

1993年——1998年任广州市群众艺术馆副馆长，组建广州管乐团任团长和广州管乐学会会长。1996年被选为亚太管乐协会理事。1998年被选为亚太管乐协会常务理事，2002年被选为第12届亚太管乐协会会长，并承办第12届亚太管乐协会年会，邀请38支境外著名乐团和国内150多支乐团参与交流演出，圆满完成了唯一一次在国内举办的亚太管乐协会历年来最大型、最隆重的年会。

现为：中国音乐家协会会员、中国音乐学院考级委员会广东考区主任、广东省音乐家协会理事、广东管乐学会副会长、广州市音乐家协会常务副主席兼秘书长，广州文艺创作研究院副院长，《广东音乐研究》主编、广州管乐学会会长。1998年带领广州管乐团到悉尼歌剧院和澳洲国会大厦表演，成为中国首个在悉尼歌剧院演出的管乐团。2006年起多次举办海峡两岸管乐比赛，多次组织乐团到新加坡、台湾、香港等地参加国际音乐密节。经常举办义演，支持、关爱灾区儿童，为灾区募捐。30多年来积极组织国内外大型管乐交流活动，促进广州与世界的管乐交流，足迹文遍布亚太地区。由于成绩显著，2005年被 亚太管乐协会中国南方委员会主席，被广东省音乐家协会璾为优秀音乐。
