曹耀棠，江苏无锡市鹅湖镇甘露人，词曲作家。鹅湖古镇是《歌曲祖国》作曲家王莘的故里。现任中国音乐著作权协会会员、中国音乐文学学会会员、无锡市音乐家协会会员、无锡市音乐文学学会理事、创作组长、无锡市锡山区音乐、戏剧家协会理事。毕业于上海音乐学院作曲系歌曲创作专业。从小受着江南民间音乐的熏陶，原任甘露文化站站长。工作期间，所在文化站受到文化部表彰，多次被评为省市宣传文化系统先进个人。退休后，他仍以传播群众文化为己任，经常参加群众文化活动。他先后创作了三百多首歌曲，不少在《歌曲》、《歌海》等全家杂志上发表及征歌中获奖，在电视、电台中播放。《夕阳的歌》在广西国际民歌节上演唱。 《吉祥昌盛祖国好》在世界华人文学艺术研究会等单位歌曲展评中获"银奖"、 "作家贡献奖"，他既作词又作曲出了原唱唱片专辑，由中国唱片广州公司出版发行。又被无锡市锡山区评为新人新事"十佳"，事迹简介编入了《锡山年鉴》。他创作的歌曲现代、时尚、又饱含江南民歌神韵，贴近生活，灼炙人口。江苏电视台已为他创作的歌曲《东方的太阳》、《老来伴》、《祝福你》一手拍成MTV。演唱者上海歌手叶莺，荣获全画高等院校音乐大赛全能冠军，演唱一等奖及全圆音乐赛事中多个奖项，歌唱十分动听。曹耀棠先生群众亲切地誉他为"新农村作曲家"。
