康家祥，男，湖南人。毕业于华中师范学院。

在音乐方面以词曲创作、二胡演奏、声乐演唱为主。现任湖北省石首市乐舞爱好者协会会长，石首市阳光民族乐团团长。

先后在《神州歌海》、《华人音乐家》、《湖北音乐文学》、《楚天歌声》、《荆楚歌声》、《当代歌手喜爱的歌》、《中国龙典》、《中国之春》、《奥运之歌》、《中国词坛》、《词刊》、《电脑音乐报》、《石首音乐》、《中国青年报》、《湖北时报》、《荆州日报》以及原《石首报》等多家报刊上发表歌词近百首、歌曲近300首、乐曲10多首。并有多首作品在全国省、地、市获奖。2004年3月，已出版个人专辑《美丽的中国梦》。
