徐茂森，重庆市大渡口区音乐家协会副主席，重庆市音乐家协会电子琴学会副秘书长，中国音乐家协会电子键盘学会会员。

从1972年"纪念毛泽东在延安文艺座谈会上的讲话发表三十周年"参加重庆市文艺调演所作曲的表演唱《三八粮店红旗飘》获优秀奖（七十年代末设等级奖）起，开始音乐创作。

1978-1981年参加"重庆市工人作曲配器指挥学习班"周日业余学习。1981年与人合作的舞蹈《浇》获四川省文艺调演二等奖。

1985-1989年入中国函授音乐学院音乐教育系后转理论作曲系。1986年所作曲歌曲《我们需要绿色的环境》（尹克轩词）获"重庆市首届环保文艺汇演"一等奖。1988年为"中国歌谣谚语集成重庆市大渡口区谱例"记谱。

1991年所作曲歌曲《啊！生活》（王晓玲词）参加1991全国未来词曲作家演唱家成才之路《小天才》杯大奖赛获优秀创作奖（铜奖）。

1997年所作曲歌曲《北京我们热爱您》（许波词）获中国作协文艺报举办的"97全国文艺研讨会"二等奖。

1999年所改编的电子琴曲《新年好》（英美儿歌）、《小酸梅果随想曲》（俄罗斯民歌原曲）获"99中国少年儿童声乐器乐大赛"音乐创作（编曲）二等奖。

2003年论文《手巧促进心灵——简谈弹奏键盘乐器对大脑功能的研发》获"2003全国音乐论文大赛"一等奖。

2005年所指导的电子琴学生魏思琪获"第二届星星火炬中国青少年艺术节英才推选活动全国总决赛"电子琴小学A组银奖。

2011年所指导的电子琴学生在"第八届星星火炬中国青少年艺术节英才推选活动全国总决赛"中徐煜杰获学前租银奖、张文卓获小学A组金奖、本人徐茂森获"全国总决赛优秀指导奖"。

2013年在"重庆市唱响大渡口全国歌曲征集大赛"中所作曲歌曲《相约大渡口》（周廷发词）获二等奖。

2014年在"2014大音中国音乐盛典"中所作曲歌曲《有梦的中国》（吴善翎词）获金奖。
