文学方面：著有长篇小说《市委办公室》、《最高文字》等3部。著有散文集《乡情》、诗集《无题的思绪》等4部，散文《心灵上的油菜花》在全球华人主题大赛中获优秀奖。《第一次逃跑》荣获全国“我的第一次”征文一等奖，《啊，女英溪》荣获全国金融“农行杯”征文一等奖。《野菊花》荣获湖南省作协网络文学征文优秀作品。电视剧《微信红包》荣获廉政长沙微剧评比一等奖。广播剧《凤凰坡人家》获中国最高广播剧奖。

音乐方面：系中国音乐文学学会会员，创作歌词300多首。

1.歌曲《岳麓书院》、《桂花开在妹心上》《绿色的约定》在湖南省音乐家协会评选的“潇湘好歌曲”活动中，分别评为优秀歌曲。

2.歌曲《长沙雨》在2016年湖南省音乐家协会评选的“潇湘好歌曲”中荣获银奖，评为十大金曲。

3.歌曲《铸魂》在2016年中国音乐家协会举办的全国“心中的旗帜”征歌中荣获优秀歌曲（全国共评选15首）。
