一九七四年至一九七九年青海省军区宣传队任手风琴演奏员兼小号。一九七六年参加兰州军区音乐培训班，期间创作"羌族人民心向党"一曲刊在青海日报娱乐片。同年参加青海省业余器乐大赛中手风琴丨演奏的"解放军进行曲"火车向着韶山跑获得二等奖。一九七八年参加兰州区音乐创作学习班期间创作的"战士心里想什么"刊在兰州军区人民军队报付刊上。

一九八零年复员回宝鸡医药被工厂业余演出队任队长，电子琴手一职，一九九六年至退休任中国人寿宝鸡分公司乐队队长，电子琴、中音号手一职。复员地方后一直活跃在宝鸡市各大小舞台及娱乐场所，并曾多次市内各单位，外县各单位文艺活动及比赛中担任评委。

一九八七年担任队长组队参加宝鸡市首届业余乐队大奖赛一等奖

二零一一年至今担任市乐团总教练助理、军鼓、中音号教学。
