敖长生，四川省人。
1997年毕业于四川音乐学院声乐系考入武警上海市总队政治部文工团，现在为文工团副团长，全国青联委员，中国音乐家协会会员，中国大众音乐协会会员，中国音乐文学学会会员，国家二级演员，上海音乐学院校外专家组成员，上海演艺工作者联合会理事，上海青年文联理事。
敖长生是一名从四川大山里走出来的歌手，他的父母在五十岁时生下他，父母都是目不识丁的农民。一路走来，他心存感激和感恩之情，努力学习回报社会、回报师恩、回报部队的培养。他曾荣获中央电视台全国青年歌手电视大奖赛民族组银奖，全军文艺汇演表演大奖，全国首届优秀双拥文艺节目汇演比赛歌曲类一等奖，武警部队文艺汇演创作表演双项一等奖，长三角地区民歌大赛金奖、上海之春国际音乐节一等奖，上海国际艺术节最佳表演奖，中华人民共和国文化部群星奖，第六届国际青少年文化艺术节金奖，“建国杯”全国大型音乐展演活动作曲和专业组演唱双项金奖，中国唱片奖等几十个重要奖项。
荣立二等功一次、三等功六次。先后向全国出版发行了《五十六个民族一个中华》、《幸福家书》、《真情无限为兵哥》、《上海等你来》、《因为有了共产党》等个人专辑。首唱歌曲《扯开嗓子一声喊》、《人民是靠山》、《陕北娃》、《月儿溜溜弯》、《军人上路》、《上海等你来》、《一碗姜汤》、《因为有了共产党》等在社会上有较高传唱度。
多次在全国各地举办个人独唱音乐会，多次参加全国各地大型公益演出，中央电视台还为他拍摄播出了个人成长专题片《大山里走出的歌手》，全国多家报纸和新闻媒体都对他进行了专访报道。中组部、团中央的核心刊物《中华儿女》对他进行四个版面的专访报道，并入选党的十八届四中全会专刊。他每年为基层部队和老百姓演出180余场次，被大家成为阳光型歌手、正能量歌手。
