1973年出生于湖南醴陵。曾就读于中山、北京大学。13岁进入文艺行列，先后从事戏剧、声乐表演与文艺创作工作，在编剧、著书、填词、作曲、导演等艺术领域均有创作尝试。全程参与"九运会"、"世乒赛"等活动的开、闭幕式创演工作。

首创全新舞台表演艺术样式"侃唱会"。近年作品有：

侃唱会剧目系列：《城•事•人》、《愉•阅》（作曲、编剧、导演、主演），《吴站长》[编剧、作曲]，《一起飞翔》（作曲、编剧、导演），《歌手的流浪》（编剧、作曲）、《微时代语音》（编剧、作曲）；

侃唱会文学系列：《小生陈谭》、《微时代语音》等；

侃唱会讲座系列：《艺术心理与人格养成》、《如何"文化产业"》、《人生规划谭》等。

曾多次荣获广东省、广州市优秀音乐家奖。由其担任宣传策划并包装的广州首部都市原创音乐剧《星》荣获"文华大奖"、全国"五个一工程奖"；音乐舞蹈诗《岭南行走》获广东省鲁迅文艺奖等。
